It's the quickest and easiest way to get them to ingest large amounts of this nutritious green. I use my frozen kale and chop it while it's still frozen. The cold brittle kale crumbles into tiny pieces without much effort and with minimal knife strokes.
Today's rice was made simply with kale, scallions and salt cod. On other days I may also grate some carrots, use salmon, fry a runny egg to lay on top of each child's rice bowl - the sky's the limit!
